The clubs and players' unions agreed Monday to stop the strike that crippled the Spanish women's league and canceled the weekend's league matches. After a meeting that lasted for several hours, it was decided to stop the strike until December 20. Then the hope is that the parties have reached a collective agreement, reports several Spanish media.

What the clubs and players' unions have now agreed on is based on a proposal presented by the Spanish government last week.

This would mean, among other things, that all players are guaranteed a minimum salary of 16,000 euros per year. This means that several player contracts must be rewritten. Therefore, in order for the agreement to become a reality, the financial conditions of the clubs must be changed through support from private or public sources. That is why the players' unions have given the clubs over a month to find a financial solution. According to Spanish media, the clubs have estimated that they need a supplement of 1.6 million euros.

It is certain that Sofia Jakobsson, Kosovare Asllani and all other players can once again concentrate on football. At least for a month. On Saturday, November 23, the Swedish CD Tacón will meet Real Sociedad at home.
