CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt coach Hossam el-Badri said on Wednesday he was confident in the potential of all his squad, despite Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah leaving the camp for the African Nations Cup qualifiers against Kenya and the Comoros.

The Egyptian medical team announced yesterday that Salah (27 years) will not participate in the matches of Kenya and Comoros scheduled on Thursday and next Monday respectively in Group G of the African Nations Cup qualifiers.

Salah did not take part in the team training yesterday at the "Burj Al Arab" because of the effects of injury suffered during the Premier League summit between leaders Liverpool and Manchester City.

"Mohamed Salah is injured from the last game against Manchester City in the Premier League. He wanted to be there, but he left the camp today (because of injury) but I have the alternative," Badri told reporters.

Al-Badri said he is convinced of the new faces that have joined the camp and have confidence in their abilities and the leadership of the Pharaohs in tomorrow's game, saying, "I have 24 players that I trust in their potential. Kenya match is not easy.

Al-Badri revealed the possibility of including more than one player from the ranks of the Olympic team for the upcoming camps after the completion of the African Nations Cup under-23 and qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, which is currently held in Egypt.
