Elias Pettersson is in his second year in the NHL and after 12 points in 5 matches he went scoreless from the loss meeting with Anaheim the other night. But in the 5-2 victory against San José, he was noted for two new goals.

In the first period, he sought in front of goal when chain mate Brock Boeser struck a high, ungrateful pass that Pettersson managed by using the club as a bat and hitting the puck.

He then scored his sixth goal of the season as he stayed in powerplay in the third period, trailing 5-1.

- We play with greater confidence today and take care of the puck in a much better way. All the little things help make the whole better, says Pettersson to the local newspaper, The Province.
