MADRID (Reuters) - Lionel Messi led Barcelona to a 5-1 sweep of Valladolid on Tuesday in the 11th round of the Primera Liga, with the Blaugrana temporarily leading the league.

At Camp Nou, Barcelona took the lead early in the second minute through French defender Clement Lingley, before Valladolid leveled in the 15th minute by Keiko Olivas.

In the 29th minute Messi gave his first decisive pass in the game to Chilean teammate Arturo Vidal to score the second goal, before scoring himself the third goal of a direct free kick in the 33rd minute.

Messi continued his brilliance in the game to score the fourth goal for his team in the 74th minute, before giving Luis Suarez a charming pass to score the fifth goal one minute later.

Barca have 22 points at the top of the standings, pending the results of the rest of the games, while Valladolid have 14 points in ninth place.
