In the 17th hole, Buddy led the game to the extension and went to the decisive single in the third round.

In 2017, Jang Hana returned to Korea after finishing the LPGA tour, winning her fifth LPGA title in two years and eight months.

Ko Jin-young, the world's No. 1 finisher, finished in ninth, but after Park In-bi, Park Sung-hyun and Yoo So-yeon, Korea was the fourth Korean player to win the LPGA Player of the Year award.
