The last two seasons SDHL jumbo Gothenburg has started this year's season significantly better than the last.

But against Djurgården they are not enough.

Dif water in September

When they met just over a month ago on the west coast, the Gothenburg 08 team shocked them when they went up early to 2-0. But Djurgården came back, and eventually won by 6-3.

When they met in Gothenburg again this evening, there was a similar match development. After a smooth start, Gothenburg took the lead after just over a quarter, through Jennifer Carlsson.

Led fairly

But as the match went on, Djurgården took on more and more, and acknowledged 6.44 in the second period. Shortly thereafter, Gothenburg acknowledged, but Dif painted on and before the period was over they had a well-deserved 3-2 lead.

In the third period, there was never really any talk about it, and with only 1.18 left to play, Josefin Bouveng showed why she was selected for the season's first troupe with the Women's crowns yesterday. She got the puck just behind the left drawing circle, took some cutting and laced the puck - and saw it sail past Nicole Jackson in Gothenburg's goal.

The goal meant 4-2 for Djurgården, which was the end result.

With the victory, Djurgården consolidated its third place, while Gothenburg remains in the table's second last place.
