It was going really bad for the championship leader in moto2, Alex Marquez, during Saturday's training in Japan's Grand Prix. But with a completely unlikely maneuver, the 23-year-old managed to avoid a crash and qualify for today's Grand Prix.

The championship leader had a lot of problems even during today's race, but nowhere near as big as yesterday. At the end of the last curve on lap two, Marquez's bike wobbled to a hefty - but he quickly regained balance and finished in sixth place.

Italian Luca Marini won the race and for the first time took two GP wins in a row.
