It was a bunch of hungry ducks from Anaheim who went out at a violent pace at home against Carolina last night. After two periods, it was 4-0 to the home team and by then three Swedes had scored in Southern California.

29-year-old Jakob Silfverberg made his 500th NHL match in his career and got to celebrate that business by busting his own return to 3-0 for Anaheim. Prior to that, Rikard Rakell had acted director to 1-0 when attracted a lot of attention from the defense and then released the puck to a released Adam Henrique who could advance from offensive blue and dot in 1-0 to Anaheim.

Hampus Lindholm also had an assist to Carter Rowney's 4-0 goal.

Carolina was able to pick up 4-2 in the final period, but that was no more than that, and the Anaheim Ducks are in third place in the NHL Western Conference.
