Al Wahda Football has announced that it has signed Spanish coach Manuel Jimenez to take charge of Al Annabi until the end of the season, replacing Dutch coach Maurice Stein.
Al Wahda hopes that Khomeiniz will return the team to the competition in the league title, after Al Wahda started the season by losing from Fujairah, and then beat Al Jazira, before losing to Bani Yas, to be laid off for the Dutchman Stein.
He began his coaching career with Sevilla's second team before taking over as coach of the first team, and then had other experiences with AEK Athens, Real Zaragoza and Las Palmas.
During his European career he won the Greek league title in 2018 with AEK Athens, while he won the cup title in the 2010-2011 season with the same team.
