Tedesco was introduced as the head coach of the red and white at a team-based press conference in Tarasovka.

From 2017 to 2019, the German coached Schalke, who became the silver medalist of the Bundesliga in 2018.

Spartak lost its coach as a result of the resignation of Oleg Kononov after the match of the 11th round of the Russian Premier League with Orenburg (1: 2). At the moment, red and white occupy 12th place in the standings of the championship of Russia, gaining 14 points.

In the 13th round of the RPL, Spartak will play with Rubin. The meeting will take place on October 19 in Moscow at the Otkritie Arena stadium.

Earlier, tennis player Yevgeny Kafelnikov said that the enemy would not want to become a Spartak coach.
