During the season, Cori Gauff has become known for the broad mass as one of the world's greatest talent in tennis. On Sunday, the 15-year-old won her first singles title on the WTA tour when she beat Jelena Ostapenko by 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 in Austrian Linz.

- I am still overwhelmed and shocked, the young American tells WTA's website.

No wonder maybe. Not only is Cori "Coco" Gauff the youngest winner on the WTA Tour since 2004 when Czech Nicole Vaidisova won two titles. She had actually gone out of the competition already in the qualifiers. But when an opponent withdrew, she had to take her place in the main tournament.

- I really didn't think this at the beginning of the year. I didn't even think I had a chance to play, and now I'm a champion, that's crazy.

On the way to the final, Gauff, among others, beat Kiki Bertens. Final opponent Ostapenko won the French Open as late as 2017.
