Much has been dark during the autumn of Östersund, the sporting results, the Ghoddos verdict from Fifa and major financial problems. But now the club can see a little light, today in a press release announces that large parts of the 1.4 million tax debt has been paid into the club and that the payment has been postponed until the second of November. The last day for the payment of the debt was before Monday, October 14th.

"Thanks to that support, ÖFK paid over a million of the tax debt of SEK 1.4 million that the club has had during the week," the club writes in a press release.

Joy for Djurgården

According to the press officer in Östersund FK, this means that Östersund will definitely complete the Swedish.

- It is clear that Östersund will play clearly the Allsvenskan, says Niclas Lidström, press officer in Östersund FK.

This is gratifying news for many, but apart from the countrymen, many zoo farmers probably draw a sigh of relief. Djurgården was the team in the gold fight that had been hit hardest by any canceled results in the event of a bankruptcy for Östersund.

According to the responsible lawyer at the union, Tobias Tibell, a completed season for ÖFK means that no changes in earnings are relevant.

- The sporting consequences in the form of cancellation of previous results are only updated if the club does not finish the current season, Tibell tells SVT Sport.
