Sävehof tear-started against Skövde, and managed through a tight defensive move to an 11-4 lead after just over the quarter played. But after that the guests lifted themselves, and took in something at Sävehof before half time where the score was 15-9.

Despite this, the feeling was that Sävehof would go for a simple victory, especially at the beginning of the second when the home team went away to a 19-10 lead. But even though it was the champions who stood for the resistance, Skövde showed samples of morality, and approached Sävehof in the second half.

The guests put huge sticks in the Sävehof wheel, and at the same time made six straight goals ahead. Skövde came two goals from a receipt with four minutes left of the match, but closer they would not come. Instead, Sävehof managed to hold on at the end and eventually won by 24-21.
