Östersunds FK is currently facing a tough match both on and off the football field. Last week, the board announced that the club needs to receive SEK 10 million in 10 days.

On the football field, ÖFK has won only one match on their last 18, an abysmal fact that means that they are now only two points ahead of Falkenberg who holds the qualifying spot.

- It's incredibly tough, it's not where we want to be, but now reality looks like this and we have to see it as a challenge and do the best we can, says Tom Pettersson.

New situation

Goalkeeper Aly Keita has been at the club since 2014 and has almost exclusively experienced success with the team, until now.

- It is very difficult, this is the first time I am in this situation but I am sure that we will be able to do it, we will not leave, says Aly Keita.

Tough schedule

Six matches remain and for Östersund's part they have many of the top teams left to face, Djurgården, Hammarby and the hedge.

Can you bring out the old cliché that motivation beats class?

- Yes, but it feels hard because it sounds like we have no class, I think we have class but it has the other teams too and many of the teams we meet have the motivation so we have to give everything and go out and show that we want the here more than them, says Tom Pettersson.
