In a close match at the end of the second period, Wilma Berggren's elbow went up to the face of Täby star Agnes Wiklund, who was knocked down and left lying for a few minutes for care. Disgusted she was then able to walk towards the bench and continue the match that Täby then led with 2-1.

The situation that looked pretty rough on the TV pictures did not render in any action by the judges. After the match, Wiklund had to go to hospital to check for a suspected concussion.

It's bad with Wiklund that is still included. She is now bedridden with a concussion and unable to talk.

- The headaches came during the match. She was on the bus all the way home and felt very bad, ”says Täby's sports manager Robin Andersson to Aftonbladet.

Täby took the matter further

After the match, Täby reported the matter to the video review board, which in turn turned to the legal committee that shut down Berggren pending investigation. The player has Friday to comment, but according to the union's lawyer Linda Noppa will be suspended for at least one match, which means Saturday's meeting between Karlstad and Nacka. According to Noppa, this is probably the first suspension for a close match in Swedish women's basketball.

Wilma Berggren refers to his sports manager Tony Swahn, who sees the event as an accident.

- It's not intentional. It is a close fight from which the judge frees her. She didn't see the opponent, it was blindside. I hope Wiklund went well and that she did not receive but for life, Swahn tells Aftonbladet.
