For an even first period, it would be sloppy for the zero to crack. In a situation close to goal from a poor angle, Rhett Rakhshani managed to win the puck after a miss in the Linköping defense, and then found a small gap in Jacob Johansson.

Frölunda would also make it 2-0 before the end of the period. In powerplay, Rakhshani assumed a different role, and played until Simon Hjalmarsson struck with a direct shot from the right.

In the second period, it was a completely different match picture, and Frölunda showed why they were top of mind for the season. And it didn't take long for the dividend to arrive. Already after just over a minute Jacob Peterson managed to put 3-0 to Frölunda. The home team then went for a fourth goal, but it would wait until the third period before Viktor Ekbom could determine the final score 4-0 with three and a half minutes left.

The victory was Frölunda's first for the season, which also took its first points.
