His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, received in the presence of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sharjah Football and Handball Team crowned the Arabian Gulf Super Cup yesterday at the Ruler's Office.
The Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah conveyed the congratulations of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to the Board of Directors, members of the administrative and technical bodies and players of the Sharjah Sports Club, on the culmination of the football and handball teams to the title of the Arabian Gulf Super Cup.
He also praised the players and members of the administrative and technical bodies of the two teams for their achievement in addition to the Emirate's balance.
His Highness pointed out that what the club has achieved is the result of an effort and hard work in the preparation and rehabilitation of Sharjah Sports Team in various aspects, pointing out that the next stage is important for the team. He stressed that the cohesion of the team is the secret of excellence to continue to achieve tournaments, calling for maintaining this cohesion and spirit of sports in all situations and times, it is the basis of the right sport.
Sharjah won the UAE Super Cup for the first time in the professional era, and the handball team of the club achieved the Super Cup for the third year in a row.
The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Club and the players and administrative and technical bodies gave this sporting achievement to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, appreciating His Highness's continuous support to the club and affirming their continued excellence and success. The club's board and players thanked the Crown Prince for receiving the handball teams.
