The daughter of former Spain and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique died at the age of nine after a struggle with bone cancer. "Our daughter Chana died at the age of nine after a five-month struggle against bone sarcoma," Enrique said on his Twitter account. "We'll miss you a lot, but we'll remember you every day in our lives."

In his impressive tweet, Enrique thanked all the letters of support that "we have received during these months, and thank you for your appreciation and understanding."

Enrique, 49, stepped down as Spain coach in June, citing compelling family reasons. He was replaced by his assistant, Robert Moreno, who had been absent from his job since March before announcing his resignation.

Enrique had previously coached Barcelona and led him to the Spanish league title in 2015 and 2016, and the Champions League in 2015.
