Time is scarce for Meraf Bahta, who was stopped for failing to submit a stay report on three occasions. The suspension from the National Sports Commission (RIN) will end on September 1.

September 6 is the last date to clear the qualifying limit for the World Cup and Bahta has since been registered for some time at the athletics gala in Zagreb September 3.

- But that registration is rather a declaration of interest and was made in early July. We decide whether she should compete afterwards. Basic training is currently underway, explains Ulf Friberg, who previously stated that the verdict from RIN took a hard on Bahta:

- The body was in pretty good shape until the verdict came in June, then it became night black. There she lost a few weeks of training and the question of whether she can build up again. But she's been in the world elite, so there's a foundation.

Is at high altitude camp

However, the fact that the training is more serious means that Meraf Bahta is currently on high altitude camps in the Alps, in Sankt Moritz.

Last year, before the European Championships, she also trained in St. Moritz, where there is a high-altitude athletics track.

The day when the suspension ends, the Swedish Championships in athletics in Karlstad. Tomorrow the registration period expires, but she is not yet registered for the distance, 5,000 meters, which is on the program on the closing SM day.

- That's right. She is not registered for the Swedish Championship, explains Friberg.
