Barriers, penalties, cards, changes ... The new rules of the Santander League

This weekend begins a new season of La Liga Santander and, in addition to developments in the coaching staff and team templates, the competition will also release new rules that affect the decisions of the referees and the actions of the players. With Carlos Velasco Carballo at the head, president of the Technical Committee of Referees, and Marisa Villa , FIFA instructor and member of the Technical Commission of the CTA as in charge of the exhibition, the Royal Spanish Football Federation presented the following measures on Tuesday:

-The referee will have the power to choose the place where the substituted player leaves .

-There will be red and yellow cards for the coaching staff

-No attacker can be embedded in the barrier

-The goalkeeper will no longer need to put both feet on the line for the penalty kick ,

- The fouls behind (to the Achilles tendon) will be punished with a red card and , in the event that the referee has to stop the game, the ball will resume with the team that was in possession of it.
