Lim, who took gold at 1,500 meters at home in last year's winter game in Pyeongchang and who also took bronze at 500 meters, pulled the pants on a younger teammate in June before the eyes of others in the team at the country's national training facility, according to a spokesperson at the South Korean Short Track Association (KSU).

"Glue will be shut down from all participation in sports events until August 7 next year," the spokesperson told AFP.

KSU also shuts down four other skaters - two of them Olympic medalists - from the national training facility for two months for "misconduct involving alcohol".
