The International Federation of History and Statistics announced the ranking of the top 10 clubs in Africa during 2018, and Al Ahly ranked first in number 58 in the world.

The rankings, which were reported by the Egyptian newspaper Al-Youm Al-Sabaa, have seen the absence of Zamalek from the list of the top 10 African clubs in 2018. Esperance Tunis have second place, Vita Club de Congolese III, fourth Congolese, and August 5th Angolan fifth.

Morocco's Raja Casablanca, Tunisia's Sahel, seventh, Zesou United Zambian eighth, Moroccan volcano ninth and South African Sundowns 10th.
