Qatar's preparations for the first football World Cup in the Middle East have set a new record, with Al Wakra grassland covered in record time.

The natural grass of the stadium, which will host some of the 2022 World Cup games in Qatar in a record time of nine hours and 15 minutes, is set to be the fastest brushing process for a football field in the world.

"The previous record was recorded as Khalifa International Stadium, one of the stadiums of the World Cup in Qatar, where the operation took place in 13 hours and 40 minutes," the Higher Committee said in another tweet.
