World U-20 champion Romain Ntamack has extended his contract with Stade Toulousain for another four years until the 2023 World Cup, the club said Friday in a press release. Romain Ntamack, son of the international Émile Ntamack, played 24 games at the highest level with his training club (17 in Top 14, 7 in the European Cup).

The 19-year-old, playing in three-quarter center or even opening half, played his first professional match with the club on September 30, 2017 against SU Agen after joining the Toulouse club at the age of five. At the time, he joined the rugby school in a category that did not exist yet.

An inheritance in Red and Black

"To see him continue the adventure with us is a certain logic: he is very attached to the club, and the converse is true. His father Émile ended his career by accumulating 368 matches at the highest level in the first team , " said Didier Lacroix, chairman of the board of Stade Toulousain.

"It is too early to say that Romain will approach or exceed this total, but he is in any case on the right track, as evidenced by his performance since the beginning of the season. "

The player's contract with Toulouse, who is also international in all youth categories and was crowned this summer U20 World Champion, was expiring at the end of the season.
