Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho said he had rejected three offers to return to football after being sacked from Manchester United last month and said he was happy to take his time before starting the next task.

"I'm happy with the past three weeks, I'm happy with this experience and I'm going to have some new experiences, but I know myself and I know that by the end of March I will be in a state of suffering," said Mourinho, who is now an analyst with BBC Sports.

"I will analyze things and I do not want to talk about them, but I rejected three offers because I did not feel that I needed them, so I try to be calm about it, the more time I get better, the next step should make me happy with the challenge."

Mourinho said he did not know whether he would work in England again or not, but he wants to be prepared regardless of his next move, just as he did when he went to Inter after his first spell with Chelsea.

"My arrival at Inter was perfect, I left Chelsea in November, and by the end of February I signed a contract with Inter, from February to June I was preparing for the job, I learned the language and studied the club and the competitors in the league."

"The time he walked away from the ball was ready for the next step."
