The soccer team led by Paulo Bentou is in a match against the Vietnamese soccer team led by Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup winner and Park Bong-seo next March.

Chung Mong-gyu, chairman of the Korea Football Association (KFA) and president of the East Asian Football Confederation (EAFF) and chairman of the Federation of Korean Southeast Asian Football Confederation (AFF), will host Korea in 2017 EAFF Championship (E-1 Championship) and 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup winner Vietnam in Hanoi Has agreed to play the game on March 26 next year.

The match was played in the Suzuki Cup winners' country and the game was named '2019 AFF-EAFF Champions Trophy'.

The winner of the Suzuki Cup this year was decided to win Vietnam in the first and second rounds of the first and second rounds, while defeating Malaysia 1-0 in the second leg of the finals held in Hanoi on October 15.

'AFF-EAFF Champions Trophy' was created with the aim of cooperating with football development and cooperation in the two regions based on business agreements signed by two federations last year.

Under the agreement, the competition between the champions of both leagues will continue to be held every two years.

As the E-1 championship will be held in Korea in 2019 and the Suzuki Cup will be held in 2020, the second 'AFF-EAFF Champion Trophy' will be held in 2021.
