Tunisia and Saudi Arabia received their second straight defeat in Group C of the World Handball Championships in Germany and Denmark on Saturday.

Tunisia lost 22-36 to Denmark in the 2016 Olympics, while Saudi Arabia suffered a heavy 21-40 defeat against Norway, while Chile surprised Austria with a 32-24 victory.

Denmark lead the group with four points and a goal difference from Norway, while Austria and Chile have two points.

Tunisia are fifth in the standings with a goal difference over Saudi Arabia.

In Group A, Germany beat 34-21 to beat Brazil, while defending champions France 32-21 beat Serbia and Russia won 34-27.

Germany lead four points ahead of France, while Russia have three points in third.

Serbia have one point in fourth place, while Brazil are in fifth place with no points and a goal difference over South Korea.

Bahrain now play against Macedonia in the second set, while Egypt face Qatar in Group D.

The top three qualify for the second round.
