MADRID (Reuters) - Brazilian left-back Marcelo has told Real Madrid's management he wants to leave the club at the end of the season, Spanish media reported on Saturday.

Marcelo has met with representatives of the Real Madrid administration twice this week, the AS newspaper said, noting that he insisted on leaving, given his desire to face new challenges in his football career.

Marcelo's participation with Real Madrid has dropped this season, and has been locked in the bench in many games, especially since the dismissal of coach Julien Lobetigui, and the use of the services of Argentine Santiago Solari, who prefer to rely on Sergio Rigilon, which has emerged significantly in the recent period.

The newspaper also said that Marcelo's next destination will be Juventus, as the Brazilian wants to play again next to his close friend and former Real Madrid player, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
