Karginov disqualified at the Dakar rally-marathon for hitting the viewer
The crew of the Russian KamAZ-Master team led by Andrei Karginov was disqualified at the Dakar rally-marathon in the truck class.
This was stated in the press service of the team.
On the special stage between the Peruvian cities of Tacna and Arequipa on one of the difficult climbs there is a large number of spectators. The pilot was trying to overcome the rise and overtake people.
When the audience began to run away, one of them stumbled, and his foot fell under the back wheel of the truck. The condition of the victim remains unknown. The pilot himself found out about what happened only on arrival at the bivouac.
Now the Russian crew is excluded from all protocols of the competition.
