Contenders for the title of the best athlete of 2018 according to IAAF version have become known

The top five finalists include: American sprinter Christian Coleman, Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis, French all-rounder Kevin Meyer, Kenyan rider Eliud Kipchoge and hurdler Abderrahman Samba representing Qatar.

Earlier it was reported that Maria Lasitskene did not hit the short list for the title of the best athlete of 2018 in the world.
