The Vietnamese national soccer team led by Park Hwang-seo has increased his unbeaten A-match march to 16 games by winning the second leg of the 2018 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup finals.

Vietnam won the trophy with a total of three to two in the first and second rounds following the draw in the first two games of the finals, defeating Malaysia 1-0 in the second leg of the Suzuki Cup finals held at the Mindan National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam.

After winning the tournament in 2008, Vietnam has recovered from the top ten in a row and has won 16 consecutive matches in a matchless win (9 wins and 7 draws).

The 16-game undefeated is the longest unoccupied country in history.

France lost 15 games to Vietnam and lost to Holland in the European Nations League in November.

Vietnam lost two games to two in the first leg of the finals, unbeaten in 15 games, and extended their game to 16 matches in the second leg.

Vietnam has won 9 wins and 7 draws in 16 matches since winning the Suzuki Cup semi-finals on December 7, 2016.

On the other hand, undefeated for the longest time in history is undefeated in 35 games held by Spain (32 wins 3 mets) and Brazil (29 wins 6 mets).
