"We will not enter the Israelis to our country." Malaysia refuses to grant athletes visas

"If the organizers want to withdraw the right to host from Malaysia, they can try to do so," in a decisive and decisive tone. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed Sekaf raised the challenge of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) after his country's refusal to grant Israeli athletes visas to enter the country to participate in an international swimming championship 2019.

The international tournament will be held in the eastern city of Kuching between July 29 and August 4.

"If the Israeli team insists on taking part in the tournament, this is wrong, we will not allow them to enter, and if they do, this is considered abuse," the Malaysian news agency (Bernama) quoted Mahathir Mohammed as saying at a news conference.

The Israeli Olympic Committee recently protested against the decision of the Malaysian authorities and pressed for visas for its athletes to participate in this tournament, which is important to qualify for the Summer Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo next year.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia said on Wednesday that his country would not allow Israeli athletes to enter the country to participate in the tournament.

He stressed that this is because Malaysia has a very clear foreign policy when it comes to Israel.

He stressed that "the government is steadfast in its position on this issue in protest against the continued oppression of Israel and the Palestinian people."

FIFA canceled an agreement with Malaysia in 2013 to host an international conference in Kuala Lumpur in 2017 due to a complaint filed by the Israeli Football Association due to obstacles imposed by the Malaysian authorities to the Israelis to obtain visas.
