Turkey-Greece Offshore Earthquake Rescue of 30 Dead Continued November 1st 1:58

The earthquake and tsunami in the Aegean Sea between Turkey and Greece have confirmed a total of 30 deaths so far, according to government announcements.

There are still people left behind under the collapsed building, and rescue operations are continuing.

On the night of October 30, Japan time, there was a large magnitude 7.0 earthquake with an epicenter in the Aegean Sea between Turkey and Greece, and a tsunami also occurred.



So far, Turkish and Greek officials have confirmed that 28 people have died and 885 have been injured in Turkey, 2 have died and 19 have been injured in Greece.



Of these, 17 buildings have collapsed in Izmir Province in western Turkey, and nine of them have been left behind under debris.



As a result, search and rescue operations are still ongoing, and local media reports that about 180 people are missing.



According to the Japanese embassy in Turkey, there is no information on the damage to Japanese people caused by this earthquake so far.

According to the USGS = US Geological Survey, there have been at least six earthquakes of magnitude 4 and above, which are considered aftershocks, in the waters at the epicenter.



The Turkish government has warned residents not to return to buildings that may collapse for some time to come.
