Typhoon No.19 Government Decided to spend more than 700 million yen from disaster reserves to support victims October 16th 14:54

Following the devastating damage caused by Typhoon No. 19, the government decided to spend 76.694 million yen from the reserve for this year's budget as a cost of sending goods to the disaster area at the cabinet meeting on the 16th.

The government is providing “push-type” support to the disaster victims of Typhoon No. 19 without waiting for requests from local governments, where the country sends necessary supplies to the victims.

In order to strengthen support for victims, the government decided to spend 76.694 million yen from the reserve for this year's budget at a cabinet meeting held around the 16th.

The government uses this cost to deliver food such as water, bread, and retort food, as well as temporary toilets and cardboard beds used in shelters, to the disaster areas.

The government will continue to provide necessary financial support from contingency costs depending on the situation in the disaster-stricken area at any time, and it is planned to formulate a supplementary budget plan for the current fiscal year because huge costs are expected for recovery and reconstruction.
