For the Abukuma River and Yoshida River where the dyke broke down due to heavy rain due to Typhoon No.19, the Tohoku Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism conducted a survey made by river experts to examine the cause of the levee breakage and how to restore it in the future. A committee will be established.

Experts such as university professors who are familiar with river dikes and civil engineering research staff members will participate in the committee, and the site where the dike broke down will be investigated from 16th.

The Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has set up a research committee for the Chikuma River in Nagano Prefecture.
