Chikuma River inundation 80% cancellation around Hoho district Nagano Oct. 15 18:22
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the embankment broke down on the Chikuma River, and around the Hoho area in Nagano City, where massive flooding occurred, inundated in 80% of the flooded 950 hectares at noon on the 15th. It has been resolved.
Of these, inundation has been eliminated in areas such as the Nagano Shinkansen Vehicle Center, where National Highway 18 and Hokuriku Shinkansen vehicles are located, and areas where schools and hospitals are located. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is proceeding with drainage work for the remaining flooded areas.
