First snow check at Asahidake of Hokkaido Daisetsuzan system September 19 9:19

On the 19th, the first snow was confirmed near the summit of Asahidake, Hokkaido.

Asahi-dake, the highest mountain in the Daisetsuzan system at an altitude of 2291 meters, employees of the ropeway operator confirmed that there was a little snow on the promenade near the summit early on the 19th.

The camera image installed by NHK also shows a swell at 8 am.

In addition, at Kurodake of the same Daisetsuzan system at around 11:00 pm on the 18th, the manager of an evacuation hut about 700 meters away from the summit confirmed a snowfall of about 2 cm.

According to the Asahikawa Regional Meteorological Observatory, on the 19th, the cold air of the same level as the end of October flows into the Daisetsuzan range, and it is easy to snow at altitudes above 1500 meters.
