This statement was made by the head of the second department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexey Polishchuk, in an interview with TASS.

“Meetings in the Copenhagen format and Zelensky’s formula usurp the right to peaceful initiatives and impede the promotion of reasonable proposals from other countries, including the ideas of our Chinese, Brazilian and African partners,” he said.

Also, according to him, Russia is open to meaningful proposals for a settlement in Ukraine.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that Zelensky’s so-called “peace formula” and other similar initiatives are a road to nowhere.
