At around 19.30, the emergency services were alerted to a fire in central Jönköping. A boy under the age of 18 was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of having caused the fire.
According to prosecutor Klas Lööf, the boy has denied any crime in an early interrogation.
During the fire, 16 people had to be taken to hospital with minor injuries, of which five were children.
