Prime Minister Kishida will hold a Japan-U.S. summit meeting with President Biden in the United States on April 10th. This is the first official visit by a Japanese Prime Minister in nine years, since former Prime Minister Abe in 2015.

This was announced by Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting.



According to the report, Prime Minister Kishida will make an official visit to Washington, U.S. as a state guest, hold a Japan-U.S. summit meeting with President Biden on April 10, and attend an official dinner. Opinions will be exchanged on a wide range of topics including security, economics, and people-to-people exchanges.



This is the first official visit by a Japanese Prime Minister to the United States as a state guest in nine years, since former Prime Minister Abe in 2015, and Prime Minister Kishida is also scheduled to give a speech to the United States Congress.
