Demonstrations in the Jordanian capital, Amman, denouncing the Israeli aggression on Gaza (Al Jazeera)
Today, Friday, Arab cities witnessed marches in support of the people of Gaza and to denounce the Israeli aggression against the Strip that has been ongoing for 112 days.
The Iraqi capital witnessed - this afternoon - a march to support the Palestinian people and to support Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which took place at the invitation of the Al-Rafidain Coalition to Support Al-Aqsa, and it set off after Friday prayers from Al-Buraq Mosque in the Al-Ghazaliya area in Baghdad towards Umm Al-Qura Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the capital, where the participants denounced the Israeli aggression. On the Gaza Strip and the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinians.
Jordanian demonstrators also called for breaking the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, during a march that started in front of the Husseini Mosque in the center of the capital, Amman, under the title “The American siege of Gaza is carried out by Arab hands.”
The demonstrators - who are continuing their protests in the Kingdom in support of the Gaza Strip despite the difficult weather conditions - stressed the necessity of bringing food and medical aid to the people of Gaza, who are subjected to a genocidal war and have been suffering for 112 days.
Yemeni demonstrators in the city of Taiz denounced the continued massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. During a protest in Freedom Square, they demanded an end to the crimes of the occupation and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza that has left a humanitarian and health catastrophe, and caused the displacement of about 1.9 million people, or more than 85% of the Gaza Strip’s population, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.
Today, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli war on the Strip had risen to 26,83 martyrs and 64,487 injured.
