The agricultural revolt at the gates of the capital? While the protest movement by operators has been hardening for several days, two unions in Île-de-France called this Thursday for a "blockade of Paris". Farmers, who denounce standards considered excessive, incomes that are too low and unfair competition from other European countries, are mobilizing in more than 80 departments. The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, is expected in Haute-Garonne this Friday where he will unveil the first measures to respond to the discontent.

The Ile-de-France sections of the majority agricultural unions FNSEA and Young Farmers called on Thursday, in a press release, for the “launch of the blockade of Paris” on Friday. FDSEA Ile-de-France and JA Ile-de-France ask their members to gather "on the main roads around the capital", while at the same time, the president of the Young Farmers, Arnaud Gaillot, considered such an escalation as a "last resort".

Gabriel Attal must make announcements this Friday

The Prime Minister will unveil the first measures on Friday afternoon during a trip to farmers in Haute-Garonne. Several options are on the table: cash flow aid, a reduction in administrative constraints, or even compensation for the planned increase in the taxation of non-road diesel, or even its outright abandonment.
