Arab, Islamic and international reactions continued to the decision issued by the International Court of Justice - today, Friday - regarding South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel, in which it accused it of committing “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.

This comes as Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune directed his country's permanent mission to the United Nations to request that a meeting of the UN Security Council be held as soon as possible, with the aim of "giving an executive formula" to the court decisions imposed on Israel.

Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, confirmed that the latter will “immediately” transmit the notification of the interim measures of the International Court of Justice to the Security Council, indicating that the court’s decisions are binding and he is confident that all parties will comply with them.

The following are the most prominent responses to the issuance of the decision:

European Union

The Union said it expects full, immediate and effective implementation of the decisions of the International Court of Justice regarding immediate action in Gaza.
