The reporter learned from the press conference of the performance on the 26th that the performance is divided into 8 acts, will last about 23 minutes, and will set off 23,888 fireworks.

  This is the first time in five years since Hong Kong held the Spring Festival Fireworks Display in 2019 that this event will be held again. It is reported that the theme of this year's Spring Festival fireworks display is "Every industry is prosperous in the Year of the Dragon, and China is strong in the prosperous age." Event sponsor and chairman of the Hong Kong Celebrations Committee, Tam Kam-qiu, said at the press conference that he hoped to use this to add a lively and joyful festive atmosphere to all Hong Kong residents and kick off the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

  The fireworks display will be staged at 20:00 on the second day of the Lunar New Year, lasting about 23 minutes. Three barges are lined up on the sea near the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, setting off a total of 23,888 fireworks.

  This performance is divided into 8 acts, namely "Dragon and Tiger Leaping", "Eight Stars Announce Good Luck and Congratulations", "Flowers Like Jiangnan", "Home in Hong Kong", "I Will Come in the Future", "My Favorite", "You Raise Me Up" and "Harvest Gongs and Drums" "Each scene is equipped with background music of a different theme, paired with fireworks of different shapes such as waterfalls, redbuds, peonies, gold ingots, etc., bringing an audio-visual feast to the public. In the last 30 seconds of the show, fireworks in the shape of "extra large crowns" will be set off intensively, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.

  Tan Jinqiu said that this year’s show not only added many fireworks with special New Year elements to showcase the colorful charm of Hong Kong-style nights, but also integrated traditional festive New Year songs and music by young singers in the selection of soundtrack to inject youthful impetus into the show.
