Homophobia in Cameroon, a legacy of German colonialism?

In Cameroon, it was not homosexuality that was imported by whites, but homophobic laws. In his documentary “The Code of Fear”, presented at Fipadoc 2024 in Biarritz, Cameroonian director Appolain Siewe explores the reasons for a hatred as strong as it is irrational which rages in his country against homosexuals, and the links with colonialism German.
