In addition to the twelve defendants, a young boy from Skåne is also a suspect in the case. But he had not turned 15 when the suspected crimes were committed and has therefore not been able to stand trial. Instead, he becomes a matter for the social authorities.

At the beginning of July last year, three teenagers – 14, 15 and 16 years old – traveled to Sundsvall with three ready-to-fire weapons in their bags. One of them is "Tim", where SVT was previously able to reveal a series of flaws in the social service's on-call and family home placements of him.

The teenagers had been recruited by the criminal network Foxtrot and the goal was, according to the investigation, to clear a named gang rival out of the way.

In Sundsvall, they rented a part of a villa via Airbnb. But then everything fell apart. The rival Valley Network uncovered the murder plans, sought out the teenagers and abducted them.

They were then severely beaten for several hours, and two of them were subjected to attempted murder. Both were stabbed in the neck and upper body, and thanks to being able to seek help in a nearby house, they miraculously survived after one of the residents of the house called SOS.

The crime classifications include attempted murder, preparation for murder and aggravated weapons offences.

The verdict in Sundsvall District Court will be announced at 2:00 p.m.
