In addition, the State Duma in the first reading adopted a bill according to which conducting a stream while committing a crime is considered an aggravating circumstance.
In November 2023, the head of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, Artyom Metelev, said that bills on administrative and criminal liability for trash streams were supported by the Russian government.
