According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the conversation the diplomats focused on discussing the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and the aggravation of the situation in the Red Sea.
“The missile and bomb attacks launched by the United States and Great Britain on Yemen, which are capable of destabilizing the situation on a regional scale, were strongly condemned,” the department said in a statement.
Earlier, the US military announced a new strike on Yemen and the destruction of two ballistic missiles in the territories controlled by the Houthis.
Also, Houthi rebels from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement announced a military operation against US Navy ships in the Gulf of Aden and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
