Regarding the issue surrounding the political funding party of a faction in the Liberal Democratic Party, the four opposition parties, including the Constitutional Democratic Party, have announced that the members who received kickbacks from the faction will explain the facts before the regular Diet session convenes and resign from their positions such as chairperson of the standing committee. We agreed to ask them to do so.

Before the regular session of the Diet convenes on the 26th, the heads of the parliamentary committees of the four opposition parties, the Constitutional Democratic Party, the Japan Restoration Party, the Japanese Communist Party, and the Democratic Party of the People, met.

Regarding the issue surrounding the political funding party of a faction of the Liberal Democratic Party, the members who were involved were unable to ask questions under the standing committee chair, special committee chair, or committee director who had received kickbacks from the faction. They agreed to explain the facts before convening the Diet and ask them to resign from their positions, including committee chairs.

They also confirmed that they would hold a political ethics review committee in the Diet and demand that senior members of the Abe faction fulfill their accountability.

After that, the four parties agreed to establish a ``liaison council'' on issues of politics and money, and to discuss responses.

Afterwards, the Constitutional Democratic Party's Diet Policy Committee Chairman Azumi met with the Liberal Democratic Party's Diet Policy Committee Chairman Hamada and conveyed the opposition's demands.

In response, Mr. Hamada expressed his intention to discuss within the party how to deal with the resignation of the standing committee chairs and others.
