On Radio Sputnik, she noted that if statements about peace negotiations are made by a country that supplies weapons to Kyiv or trains military personnel of the Ukrainian army, we are talking about involvement in the continuation of hostilities on the side of the Kyiv regime.
“This means that all the talk about some kind of peace initiatives is in the category of political manipulation,” Zakharova emphasized.
The diplomat also said that the Russian side was surprised by the comments of the Swiss Foreign Ministry after a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of an open debate at the UN Security Council about allegedly searching for ways to negotiate in Ukraine.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis earlier said that the Swiss authorities are studying the possibility of organizing peace negotiations on Ukraine.
